Apart from the obvious wine tourism benefits the Java’s main goal is to provide a platform to raise funds for our local community.
In the last 4 years over R 380 000 were raised for our beneficiaries. The 2016 Beneficiaries are Robertson Primary School, Robertson Preparatory School, Wakkerstroom-Wes Rural School, Goudmyn Rural School and Herberg Children’s Home.
It is a mutually beneficial partership as the teachers and parents makes up 80% of the work force at the event, responsible for layout and marking of route, registration, marshalling, manning the food stalls and water points etc.
In our tasting room you can enjoy an informal tasting at our pods, or treat yourself to a relaxed food & wine pairing with a platter on the deck overlooking the garden.
Specialising in thin crusted, wood-fired pizzas, gourmet burgers and a variety of seasonal chef's specialities, the Christina's @ Van Loveren bistro allows you to enjoy your meal with a glass of your favourite Van Loveren wine under a shaded pergola.
